Well, I can only think of one reason why one of the most credible looming entries ever has been rejected. This sport will swallow itself up with it's own greed.

You'd expect there to have been some level of boisted interest at very least. Would it be fans willing ti spend 000's of dollars for a ticket? They're rhe only ones that matter after all...Blib said:

The teams made their stance clear on this all season, a final consultation wasn't needed for their opinion to be known. Them 'not being consulted' just gives the teams to be able to say exactly that now.ETA:

Exactly, Andretti has literally very little idea of what it takes to win in F1, the formulae they currently race in are as far away from F1 as it is possible to be. Poaching staff gives them a small idea, they would need to poach the entire senior management of a single team to have a good idea.
How many teams currently on the grid have an idea about what it takes to win in F1? At very best in the last 2 seasons it's 4 of the 10, IF you include Mclaren's sprint race victory. On the basis of last season it's barely 2 of the 10 teams..Forester1965 said:

It was mentioned on The Race F1 podcast that an un-named team principal had said before Christmas Andretti will be refused and the requirements for a new team will also be very quickly rewritten. I guess we'll see now now if those new requirements appear... The effort of designing, building and paying for a 2025 entry would be a serious impediment to their efforts creating an effective 2026 one.

The street circuits could easily add one more garage/hospitality to the space taken up for the F1 pits, it's not like many of them have a big support race timetable, and all the permanent circuits they go to regularly host races with more than 20 cars in the grid.
