I almost bought one for my daughter, but then she went and changed her first name to something that wasn't available.
A bit extreme if you ask me.

They're a fantastic indicator for "this car is a wreck and will be driven like an absolute throbber".

Reminds me of the Police Camera Action TV programme some years back where the infamously moronic
'B1G BOL' and his illegally butchered plated (B16 BOL) vehicle was pulled over and ticketed by a young rookie Traffic WPC despite his protestations and hilarious levels of entitlement. laugh

Top comedy for sure.
Was it a Honda?

Gotta defend some of the B16 plates.
If this is on an old Honda Civic it may be referring to the engine, a B 16. There's also B18, H22, K20 etc.
I agree with engine codes as they are specific and kind of like a homage and regularly referenced amongst petrolheads.

Plenty of BO55 plates here in Essex. Although the worse plate I’ve seen was SH17 HOT or something to that effect on a Range Rover a few years back.

I was tempted to get one to take the urine from my least favorite relative. Apparently they'd have loved it but it's no longer available.

BO55 FNP is one of the school-run dads.

Lifted Ford Ranger

Tears around the streets whilst the paths are lined with schoolchildren and their parents.

Parks it on a some grassland "Because Ranger" and fouls up the path and kerb with mud as a result

Just the lovable, swears in front of the kids kind of person you want to encounter on the school run.

Can't remember exactly some old and tatty 4x4 I think.

Seem to remember he had the 'unbutchered' plates in the boot hoping this old chestnut would come to his rescue as a defence.

Unsurpringly the WPC was having none of his bullst and it didn't; adding to the overall hilarity. laugh

Surprised no-one has mentioned 666 plates yet. However BO55 plates are usually put on something that some people could confuse for being fancy. Main culprits are clapped out RR that are fully murdered out on 4D plates.

There is a gym supplement shop near me that had a white Bentley Conti parked outside with the plate ‘BRD 80Y’.
I’m assuming it’s a bit of a tragic attempt to read BAD BOY with a cheap plate… unless he’s banned from a lot of aviaries.

Not sure I'd do the same with the F4RT in my Mégane!

Great if you are into a Hondas, but only another Honda fan would have any clue. Everyone else including a lot of Petrolheads would just see BIG, etc….

The only real exception would be something like F40 on an F40, because most petrolheads would know that one.

You would think... I was once mightily disappointed to find out the F40 a fellow PHer was talking about was a small BMW hatchback.

Funny enough I saw this recently on Youtube. bloke was a complete numpty, and she was brilliant, having none of his BS and slapped him with a fine. Good on her.

We've got one on our estate on an early Cayenne.

It really is the chavviest of chav plates.

I remember the hype when 55 plates came out for this reason.
