Now corrected to £37k. Looks nice but the 3.4 base isn’t as desirable as the 3.8S, and there’s also a limited market for white cars. I’ve tried to deal with Invictus a couple of times and found they didn’t have the car advertised- my own car was advertised by them almost 2 years after they’d sold it!Sukh13 said:
It's a revvy engine, some people rate it more than the 3.8.
Best to test drive it yourself and decide which you prefer.
I’d expect the 3.4 is rated primarily by people that own a 3.4! I’ve driven the 3.4 a few times and was really underwhelmed - it just isn’t punchy enough for me, and the price differential would suggest others feel it’s not the one to go for. I love the 3.4, guess it depends what you want from your car.
Many who prefer the 3.8 also prefer the 3.0 turbo of the 991.2 as it is easier, they probably prefer the PDK too.
But then I still love the 3.4 996 Carrera manual and have never liked the Turbo cars, so what do I know?
But, if it was my daily I guess a PDK 3.8 or even the 991.2 I would love.

Would you guys say PSE is pretty much mandatory on both 991.1 and 991.2? I had it on my old 996 and it sounded insane.
It seems the cheaper cars rarely have it fitted, the good thing about the .2 is you can see it so easily in pics (two central exhausts)
I have a 981 with PSE so basically the same tech as 991.1 cars. Lots of people really love the PSE on the 981 because its more than just valves in the exhaust. The engine runs a different map in sport mode which gives you pops and bangs. It sounds a little childish when you read it. Personally I could take it or leave it but with the roof down on a fun drive especially when the road has walls or whatever either side so the sound is boxed in it definitely adds to the drama. It seems the cheaper cars rarely have it fitted, the good thing about the .2 is you can see it so easily in pics (two central exhausts)

What’s a 992T worth trade roughly? Mint 3k miles, t interior, manual box.
I’ve been following the manual T market for a couple of months now and think it’s pretty volatile. I think the T is the pick of the range and while I don’t get too hung up on ‘the market’, my experience with my Taycan has made me a little more circumspect. My guess is that trade is somewhere in the mid to late £80’s, seen a nice python green car at Exeter slip from £105k to £99k in a matter of weeks and a brand new car offered at almost £20k under list. Maybe it’s just the manual market, I’ve not followed the PDK prices as not interested, but for a variety of reasons I’ll leave it until the autumn now.
On that note regarding the 991.1, the lack of PSE naturally leads to a lower price, I was wondering if it was possible and how much it would likely cost to get it fitted ‘after the fact’ and would it be possible to have it integrated in the same way as factory and operated from the button on the console?
Assume exhaust do-able but didn’t realise there was a different engine map too. Would this all be possible post purchase on a model without the factory PSE?
Guess weighing up if a car has ‘what you want’ except the PSE if the price difference can make it workable later down the line perhaps?

I got offered £85k which I’m still mulling over. I think it’s the interest rates killing demand at the moment as pcp options offputting for many.
Sounds about right, but rates may be softening soon, supply of manuals is also tightening so, a couple of weeks ago there were around 17 cars now just 8. If you don't mind me asking why are you thinking of selling?Gassing Station | 911/Carrera GT | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
