I'm refinancing the balloon on my 718 in the coming 60days, so I thought some people (owners and potential buyers) on here might be interested to know where Porsche see GT4 residuals in the coming years.
Car was bought brand new - PDK, registered July 2022, list of £92.5k (Aug 2021 price which I had locked in at point of order in teh summer of '21). 2yr final balloon underwritten at the time was £66.3k.
Balloons underwritten on the car as of today are:
July 2026 - £58.2k
July 2027 - £53.9k
July 2028 - £51.4k
Trade-in values on the car are c£75-77k, so a nice bit of equity still left in the car v the balloon. I ummmed and ahhhed over a 4RS allocation, but financially it made no sense to me v what I use the car for, so I turned the allocation down. Coupled with my OPC actively telling me not to sell the car because in his opinion it's the sweet spot, a good balance of special v road v track, and in his opinion there's nothing coming down the pipeline to match it, or currently in the Porsche 'newish' used market stable at similar value price points. He said I would massively regret changing.
Anyway, given those nice steady depreciation points above, the Python will be staying for at least a couple more years, and it'll be having a couple of treats added to it soon once I've got over the shock of paying £1000 for it's first service.

Cannot see trade at £75-77k when this is only £81k, probably more low 70s

How do you know the mileage on KMPs GT4 in assessing its value?https://finder.porsche.com/gb/en-GB/details/porsch...
Placcy dash door tops and console on that OPC car too.

That’s Interesting - I bought my MY23 GT4 fully loaded for £108k and GFV balloon after 4 years is £58k which I think will be lower than the actual value. Time will tell

Yep GFVs have traditionally never accurately reflected GT Porsche residuals.
The simple fact that even a nine year old 981 GT4 with reasonable spec and mileage still retails for over original list ££ confirms this.
I am looking at purchasing a GT4 in the near future but trying to work the best VFM between 981 and 718 in terms of finance. The simple fact that even a nine year old 981 GT4 with reasonable spec and mileage still retails for over original list ££ confirms this.
There's a couple of 981s I see around the £62-64k mark which tick the boxes I want, but then now there are 718s with similar spec coming up for sale at around £75k

I’m happy that my June 2023 registered £108k GT4 MY23 will be worth a lot more than the GFV balloon of £58k in 4 years time The simple fact that even a nine year old 981 GT4 with reasonable spec and mileage still retails for over original list ££ confirms this.
Could of flipped for GT4 RS but didn’t want to

I'm not sure they really do anymore. Mine is just over 8 years old, with metallic finish, climate, CS, buckets, leather dash, dynamic headlights, etc. iron brakes. Must have been about £80k OTR when new. No way it would retail for quite that now, despite being very nice for its 20k miles, and with almost 3 years of Porsche used warranty remaining. Also worth remembering the 981 GT4 was made in more limited quantities, only 500 made for the UK market, (of which there were about 560 left last time I checked. )The simple fact that even a nine year old 981 GT4 with reasonable spec and mileage still retails for over original list ££ confirms this.
