458 v 488 market

I have recently started looking for a 488. Would somebody mind confirming, if I find one for sale privately is it a simple case of paying a Ferrari dealer for an inspection and as long as it passes, a warranty can be added for circa £3500 per year? Thanks!
Correct, although most cars that go through an inspection need some work done to pass from my experience. It’s then the issue of convincing the seller to pay dealer prices to rectify. worldwidewebs said:

I've just had a price to renew the Power 15 warranty on my 458 - £3880 for 12 months. Think I'll 'self warranty' at that price
What did you pay last year?I’m very surprised that’s a renewal quote.

Over serviced.
Car was registered in March. When I bought it, the services had drifted to September. So I serviced that September then again in march. There were only 80 miles between services but I thought it was worth it to get them back in line. It’s also just easier to have service, mot, warranty all done at the same time.

I have done the same with my old Maserati - when COVID lockdown meant getting it serviced on time was a problem. Far lower cost, mind, than a Ferrari!
For anyone that is in the market for one of these.

It’s about 10k more than I paid for mine - which is almost identical. Why is it not selling?

It’s priced about right - should sell in the spring.

Been looking at 488’s lately.
I’m 6’3 and wondering whether I’d fit in a spider with the roof up? I understand the spider roof is lower due to the mechanism.
Anyone similar height or taller and fit ok?
Sounds a great reason to go and sit in one, it’s hardly a chore.I’m 6’3 and wondering whether I’d fit in a spider with the roof up? I understand the spider roof is lower due to the mechanism.

On the other hand we could all sit behind a keyboard and just, well, be antisocial I guess.
