We had our ferry booking confirmation email from TD which included reserved seating.
After viewing this thread I did a live chat with Brittany Ferries who then told me there's no reserved seating for our booking.
I've emailed TD but not hopeful they'll fix it.
At least they managed to get the actual crossing times correct although I can't say I've been too happy with the service so far as they also sent incorrect figures for the remaining balance etc.

Were the figures incorrect in their favour by any chance? After viewing this thread I did a live chat with Brittany Ferries who then told me there's no reserved seating for our booking.

You must be on a day crossing then as you have to have seat or cabin on night crossing! After viewing this thread I did a live chat with Brittany Ferries who then told me there's no reserved seating for our booking.

How much in crossing extras have you been charged?
We have £200, they have told me that’s high vehicle and bike rack (last year we paid 110 extra and that included the cabin)

The bigger the company gets the less chance of personal service and possibly less care as staff are pressured to do other things etc
Still happy from the other side on the curves despite the dusty route in.
Are you doing village on the curves or BSJ? Interested to hear what village is like? Still happy from the other side on the curves despite the dusty route in.
Village on the Curves
Staff and team excellent, just at start of curves on inside so outside seating of bar marquee and part of camping area right next to track with sight through fencing. If want to go up on banking it’s 2 mins walk.
British beer and sterling bar with full catered or pay as you eat meals. Great toilets/showers etc. mini buses to and from circuit - East gate/tram and techno park, plus also did an extra cost trip to Indy/Arnage during race at night. Lots of Porsches as does a link up with PCGB. Lots of pre-erected tents and a glamping option. They may also do a second site now slightly away from the track.
Only drawback is dusty track a fairly long way round inside BSJ.
High demand there and costs have gone up as ACO have pushed everything up though.

We know someone who went with PCGB in 2022 and rated it. Dont think the location is quite as good though. Have to echo this...have previously pitched at Speedchills (blast from the past) at Bleu Sud and BSJ, TD at Porsche Curves and finally Lycian Village on the Curves (2022) and that really stood out in my book, just tipping Speedchills to the top spot. Really enjoyed not only the site itself but the whole booking process from beginning to end. We're invading again this year based purely on our previous visit and continued excellent comms with Lycian. My other half likes to be right near the track so we are limited on who to travel with haha
We also like the “private” sites/areas done general camping for a few years and don’t really want to go back to that.
Lycian Village on the Curves for us again this year. As has been said previously, excellent staff and booking experience, nothing too much trouble and very good comms. Facilities onsite are great and it's secure - just a LONG way to the action inside the main hub of the circuit.
But please, can we keep this quiet

Also if you cross to the inner circuit, old campsite side, the banking there is great to watch the cars, more so if you head left. Plus it's a 5 min walk fro the infield and all the car clubs displaying.

Having had all the issues last minute last year with TD, and managing to switch to 1st tickets, their service was indeed first class, secure campsite on Blue Nord, good, wholesome food, and they'd put in a new footbridge as you walk into the circuit there, so easy access to everything.

They seemed to have stopped music a few years back after an episode where one of the attendees who was pretty drunk propositioned one of the staff who got very upset. The next nights entertainment never happened and I’ve never seen any entertainment arranged since.
They had a terrible dj in 2022. Staff have been fun and great both timesGassing Station | Le Mans | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
