Which PH'ers have placed a deposit on an Emira?
Discussion
Deposit paid this afternoon. Will be going for the amg engine but no idea on colour yet as it seems to look good in all the colours offered even the ones I don’t usually like! However I would have liked white to be on the option list as always think it’s a colour that really suits lotuses.
Definitely want the black pack & coloured callipers. Not sure if the forged wheels are worth it as car will be used more as a touring set up. As for interior, my heart says alcantara my head says tan leather may be better for keeping clean.
I’m beyond excited by this car & don’t even care that I probably won’t get it until 2023.

How much is the deposit?
I’m really torn. Have been set on Exige for a while was planning on buying a 410 towards the end of next year.
But I really like the look of this. They are different kind of cars though.
Been thinking about putting my name down as my house build should be done by February so I should be able to have it.

Having similar thoughts I’m really torn. Have been set on Exige for a while was planning on buying a 410 towards the end of next year.

Looking at it it looks amazing, and will be great to drive, really want one.
... But
As a weekend car - It's not going to be as light / raw / event as the Exige at 300kgs heavier and same engine
As a daily - fantastic if you can live with a two seater daily (I can't)
So the (lucky) challenge is, it's not pure enough to replace an Exige, and too close to an Exige to replace anything else as a weekend experience..
So for the moment no deposit

I need to figure out what I actually want to do with it. Ironically it might be my wife who tips the choice.
I put £500 down with B&C at the beginning of June and paid the £2k direct to Lotus on Wednesday as directed by Jamie.
I'll almost certainly go for the AMG engine, probably in the light grey (which the lady on the stand at FoS said was a metallic silvery grey) or the red if I'm feeling brave!
A question for those that have paid a deposit... have you heard anything back direct from Lotus as of yet?

Just confirmation of being open the priority list with a reference number. Nothing else. B&C will have a car in Autumn to try and I expect to hear everything I need from Jamie.I'll almost certainly go for the AMG engine, probably in the light grey (which the lady on the stand at FoS said was a metallic silvery grey) or the red if I'm feeling brave!

Ummm... I've not got a ref number from Lotus but the money has been debited from my card... I'll speak to Jamie on Monday - thanks!Yeah you should have a reference which you give to the dealer if you choose to use a dealer. However I don't get why people are paying dealer a deposit also. You have to pay via the Lotus website and in the Autumn when you lock the spec in you can choose to use a dealer if you so wish, but you do not have to.

I'd love the Exige but it won't fit the bill I don't think, the Emira however, I think it does work for me.

Well, if you believe my dealer, his list was submitted to Lotus before the ability to pay a deposit direct to Lotus was available... whether I believe that will make any difference is another question!Gassing Station | Emira | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
