Drivers on the hill - signing on
For all drivers on the hill: The majority have still not signed on, which is a requirement prior to the event. To do this you'll need to get your free RS clubman licence here (takes two minutes - leave the 'club' section blank) and then complete the Prescott form here (also take two minutes - your club is PistonHeads).
If anyone has changed their mind and no longer wants their ticket to drive the hill, please give me a shout as I'll take it off of your hands! Looking forward to this event again,I've taken my Celica the last couple of years but it needs a clutch and front caliper refurb so its come too soon for it,so I'll be taking my Accord Euro-R for the first time, albeit still as part of the Celicaclub.
Hope to see the Pistonheads collective's cars and owners at some point during the day though, and as mentioned the final listing sent through from the venue shows a big list of people from Pistonheads that havent completed the form they sent,so you need to get onto that or you won't get on the hill.....do it or you will miss out on a great bit of fun!

Hi, looking forward to it too. Rob & I (you rarely get one without the other) signed on ages ago so I'm a bit peeved to see my name in bold. I wonder if its because we're sharing a car that we got listed like that Maybe Ben Lowden can advise ...Hope to see the Pistonheads collective's cars and owners at some point during the day though, and as mentioned the final listing sent through from the venue shows a big list of people from Pistonheads that havent completed the form they sent,so you need to get onto that or you won't get on the hill.....do it or you will miss out on a great bit of fun!
I resubmitted the form after i got a reminder, though i had already done it,just in case. Dom Bessell is the Admin that sends out the notifications from Bugatti owners at Prescott, you could try emailing him for confirmation? The form only takes a minute so might be worth resubmitting it anyway.

I can't say for certain but I very much doubt it!
I assumed normal track day rules apply.. you're not covered. On the plus side... it's all mainly second gear and there's no other people to crash into, so the only real risk is slithering off into a gravel trap like an idiot. Ask me how I know
It isn't the gravel that scares me, just that last righthander with the drop into oblivion.I assumed normal track day rules apply.. you're not covered. A few years ago, someone was badly injured there. I was unfortunate enough to witness it and was one of the volunteers holding up the sheet to hide the rescue from the public. Ran wide, went off the track hit the scaffold timing tower. Air ambulance required.Prescott is quite a technical hill, the gentles bend after the bridge is misleading, the double back after that has a very late apex, the hairpin is where I collected plenty of gravel on my last outing and the part under the trees is very slippery on a cold damp day, plus the kerbs are brutal.

What caught me out at the hairpin (locking a single wheel and sliding into the gravel) I think is the extreme changes in camber etc as you go into the hairpin, combined with it being damp and just going a bit too quickly on my final run. Overconfidence is a bh

I shall be taking it nice and steady in the 4C having never been up the hill before.
Good adviceMe crossing the finishing line in the wet. Very slippery that day especially under the trees.
and a sunnier day just after the bridge on the same run where the gravel trap at the hairpin was on the itinerary
I am fortunate, I live less than 10 mins from Prescott so have driven the hill lots of times (had the observation for my competition licence there too)
Just seen the email about Postponement until the 19th May, just serviced the car all ready for the big day aswell
Should still be able to make the new date, bit of shame really but better than turning Prescott into a mud rally course I guess
Think I must be cursed when it comes to PH events. The MR2 blew an exhaust manifold gasket before being due on display for the 25th Anniversary event, then booked onto the Thruxton event only for the skid pad to be cancelled, and now the Hillclimb getting postponed
