Took mine out first thing. Utterly glorious, bright sunshine, nobody on the roads, new tyres and, importantly, freshly geo’d.
I’d always found a reason not to bother with a geo before. Difficult to justify the cost and time, plus it can’t make that much difference, can it?
Oh how very, very wrong. The difference is staggering and it really demonstrated a) how a gradual degradation of handling is difficult to pick up and b) just how capable the car is once it’s lined up.
I normally cringe slightly at the phrase ‘night and day’ as often it’s in relation to an expensive purchase that needs justifying. But, dare I say it, the difference before and after is exactly that. I’ve fallen for the car all over again (in parallel, my wife has offered to shoot me if I buy another one......), so I’m sticking firmly with the Brown one for the foreseeable. Not a bad place to be......Have a good week all. Bins.
Where did you take it Bins? I took the DD to highly reputed marque experts Centre Gravity which was a bit of a trek but very much worth it to have it tighter than factory with negligible tolerance across an axle. Would love to treat the old boat too.I’d always found a reason not to bother with a geo before. Difficult to justify the cost and time, plus it can’t make that much difference, can it?

I'll let Bins confirm who did his but CG are utterly brilliant at what they do. They have done all of mine.josh bear said:
Nice home. Love the bonnet on the wall. Where did you get it?
Josh
Hi Josh - bought the bonnet from someone on pH but can’t remember who? Nice bit of wall art - the sticker is of a mate who celebrated a birthday when we were all at Le Mans that year.Josh
The white door is a carbon fibre (not fibre glass) one from Peter Wheelers TVR Tuscan challenge race car which I really like - a personal hero of mine from my decade or so of TVR’s - RIP PW.

Well, I do love a blue Aston too, particularly if it is Mako Blue, but of course I would say that! Went out for a run with a mate on Sunday in mine and he was in his 997 GT3 RS 4 litre which is an amazing car, the sound of the pair of them just epic!

Nice run down to Portsmouth to drop my Mum at her sisters, A3 /A31 lovely for a wafty cruise this morning, saw an 11 plate Onyx roadster on the A31 on my return. Need to keep clean for the revival this weekend!
Had no idea you were back in the fold matey, welcome OK so it was Sunday and not today, but being part of the GT Tour Arrival and parking up in the main court at Blenheim was pretty epic, although not as epic as 66 Supercars all in convoy from Brooklands to Blenheim on the M25 and M40 on Sunday morning, that was amazing......and very loud
A cheeky pic from the Saturday too......

Beautiful, I miss those kind of events. When I was in Paris, there where tons of similar things, at the various chateaux plus the regular Cars & Coffee.
Here in Italy (and I suspect for the fear of having the tax people showing up) they are very far and few. Would love to move to England!

Yep, mako - seems to divide option a bit but I like it plus it’s a bit different and interesting given it was the V12 vantage prototype colour?
