What have you done to your BMW today?

Had it picked up a day early to have the ABS warning lights seen to - my guy has confirmed it's just the front right sensor so is ordering one in.
He did also mention that it looks like the front right brake disc has been getting very hot - which would explain the slight wobble I get sometimes when braking off the motorway.
Suspect it's the usual E8x/9x stuck caliper, but he's having a look tomorrow when doing the sensor, so let's see.

Given the propensity of E93 and F33 Cabriolets to leak and scupper the various electronic boxes I decided today to take the opportunity to clean and treat all the rubber seals around the roof, the boot, the windcreen and the doors. It took two hours of careful scrubbing and treating with some cheapy toothbrushes but the rubbers all look fresh again and I also clean all the painted/gloss surfaces the rubber seals shut onto to ensure the seals don't pick up any old dirt.
There are a lot of seals.

Full set of new boots for the e39 535 - have gone with Goodyear F1 asymm, after defaulting to Mich PS4s for well over a decade; just for change. Time to try other things, why not (Oh - and the 20%-off for four offer from National was far too good to pass-up...)
I've gotten 22-24K miles out of the last 3-4 sets of PS4s across a couple of cars, and would recommend & buy again.
An initial romp-about this afternoon promises good things - but then it was a fabulous warm, sunny day!

They're superb tyres; really rating them on my F31 (the Assym6s and the all seasons TBF)I've gotten 22-24K miles out of the last 3-4 sets of PS4s across a couple of cars, and would recommend & buy again.

Had PS4s on my E39 touring; they were excellent, but like you I wanted to try something different for the F31 and glad I did... £250 cheaper than the same sized PS4s and PS5s too, so win win!

Obviously initial impressions are swayed by the fact these are all four new, and properly balanced, so super-smooth blast home.
( - whereas, end-of usable life tyre set having shed ~5-6 mm of tread over a c. 2metre circumference: at that point, having shed maybe 2, 2.5kg of rubber, each - things wear so far out of initial balance, they start wearing slightly unevenly. This was visible on the old carcasses, even tho the geo is checked as spot-on, dampers known-good.)
Time will tell, I'm expecting c 2yrs life at my rate of use so 8 seasons out of these. Looking forward to enjoying what they bring.
ATB to you, Dan, meanwhile.

Hope all is well with you and yours pal
Got bored at looking at wheels and tyres, so many I like and now dan explained about the adapters and spacers the amount available has filled my head past full. So I did the easiest option, went and and purchased on 2 cans of gloss gloss black Rustoleum spray paint, 2 x Scotchbrite pads and a roll of thick masking tape Grand total with mates rates £14.
I now need new shocks and slightly lowered/uprated springs.

Sachs 556384 front and Sachs 170857 rears with Eibach Pro kit springs...I now need new shocks and slightly lowered/uprated springs.
That'll have your E39 sitting perfectly IMO
Then when you've done that...
A staggered set of 17" Style 32s will finish it off perfectly

I hope you only boiled it rather than cooking it! d_a_n1979 said:

Sounds like a plan for the suspension and springs, have a feeling will be keeping the 33's though as they have grown on me even more after the little budget refurb That'll have your E39 sitting perfectly IMO
