Are they just rubbish?
There's a 3 year old 55" Smart TV that's just gone pop in my daughters holiday home in France, was watching something on Netflix when there's a short "screech" and the screen went haywire then blank, it now will not start up and just displays the Samsung Smart by Tenzen text then switches off, then on, then off ad nauseum. Tried all the fixes on the interweb including trying to update the firmware via USB but the TV doesn't stay on long enough to read the files so the only thing left is taking the thing apart which I ain't doing.
Will be leaving here soon so no time to get it looked at locally, the repair place is closed until next Tuesday anyway.
She previously had a 2 year old 43" Samsung and that also failed with sound but no picture and Samsung seemingly couldn't fix it so it was replaced with the above.
