This is comical - must be the worst standard in a final?

Entertaining though

Yeah, great snooker finals aren't guaranteed, it's not like mens tennis, clunkers never fluke a place in the final.

I'm not even watching it. Poor final. Not a fan of Wilson really. Would've preferred Jones to win it.

I wouldn't give up on that quite yet.

As far as quality is concerned, it's certainly not been one for the ages, has it? Though you could say the same about the overall tournament this year.

It is entertaining though

At 17-14 - its a shame its not first 20 as Jak looks like he could come back.

While Wilson certainly played some good snooker he was helped by a very favourable draw compared to most (other than Higgins, but he's arguably past his best now). Dominic Dale in round 1 ffs. Then he met world number 44 in the final, he couldn't have wished for an easier path to the trophy. I'm pleased for him, but I don't see him being a multiple winner.

Well done to Wilson, but not a great tournament this year with so many big names going out early (Selby, Williams) and neither Trump or Ronnie making the final.

Trump will be kicking himself… got dragged down by JJ slow play in that QF. His weird technique (play to miss then correct) sometimes falls down

That is a weird technique for sure, if he could deliver the cue on a straight line he'd probably be the next Ronnie.

I found the whole series to be boring. All the people I wanted to watch were knocked out - or weren't in it! O'Sullivan, Robertson, Trump and so on.

I watched with the sound off a lot of the time. Parrott, Murphy and Virgo I find tiresome.

I went to bed before the final frame.

The final might not have been top quality but it was (reasonably) close in the end and there was a new winner. So I enjoyed it all. Better than seeing Trump/Selby/O'Sullivan win again anyway. Though perhaps I shouldn't include Trump in that; I'd assumed he'd won more than once but just looked down a list and see he hasn't.

Not going to go down in history as a classic, all the big names gone early and at times it felt a little flat.

I think if Jones had got a better start he would have won it.

Will be interesting to see how many more years it stays at the Crucible Theatre or they take the money and move it.
