Plus, usually we see things dropping like a stone so change to a newer more expensive model.

I’ve made the mistake enough times to know the grass is rarely greener.

Prices have certainly dropped a bit in them. I bought my 2017 CP locally last year, luckily I got a good deal on it as it wasn't advertised but I looked at many of them and got a good grasp on the prices at the time - looking again today, I can see they've come down a bit. As with most M cars I think the Individual models in a sought after colour and/or high specs ones will be the least affected, but a basic one in a common colour may unfortunately take a big hit over the next few months.

I’m in the market for a BMW M4 Competition 2017 onwards. Has the market levelled off now?

Prices still seem to be erratic on the owners groups on Facebook but I would say they have levelled out in the main.

On the owners groups the opinion varies depending on if the poster is buying or selling which I supose is always the way.

If you are on Facebook i'd recommend joining one of the F82 M4 owners groups because a lot of the cars for sale seem to appear on there before the usual places such as Autotrader and Ebay
