Compared to some of the prices on here, it's almost a bargain.
That's a flipping amazing place, I love those buildings and know the area well.https://www.rightmove.co.uk/properties/147533471?u...

No off street parking is a deal breaker though.

I love that!
Less than enamoured with the location though.
The regulars will roll their eyes at this but - lots of scope for an indoor climbing wall!
Have to agree with that.Less than enamoured with the location though.

Think I'd want to see details of how that cantilever is engineered though!

Love the design of the house, cantilever, big garage, views over the golf course etc....
However the location on the main road AND on top of the railway line leave somewhat to be desired.

I have a house on the coast. It is great but there are definitely downsides...
I love the idea of a house on the coast but I don't think it would be so great when blowing a gale in winter.I then think it would be lovely in the summer until everyone else heads there as soon as there is the slightest hint of sun...
The salt laden air and high humidity are perhaps the worst things in my opinion.

Poor use of built footprint.
Little external aesthetic merit. Cantilever for the sake of cantilever.
Mish-mash finishes.
Despite not using the available footprint, they've gone into the loft. Where it will be hot and a great deal of what you see is unusable, due to reducing ceiling height.
The grass on the first floor will be difficult to keep green (supported by the photos) and will be an unused space.
The parapeted design of the garage will collect leaves.

You couldn't do something with the back yard with regards to parking?

I’d suspect it’ll go for well over offers over.

Why they decided to make it that the centre piece of the house was a seating area for the master bedroom is beyond me. That cantilever makes the actual living space of the house overshadowed, all because of the hubris of the owners who wanted a feature master bedroom that guess what, you only really use at night, when you are sleeping. Anyone who thinks they'd use that master sitting room bit anywhere near how long it would take the justify its position in the house is either a weird hermit or deluded.

Recognise that place, it's lovely. That road isn't busy either. https://www.rightmove.co.uk/properties/146628818
