Bruno & Rashford did not feature tonight, so that's a pretty dumb picture from the BBC.
They’ve appeared 33 and 31 times respectively in the league, so it appears it’s not the BBC being dumb…

Against those Palace lads, too; super fast the lot of them. He will be having nightmares about that game.

The player ratings for Utd on the BBC made for interesting reading.
Apparently Evans failed a fitness test this morning, but was asked to play anyway due to the problems. Brave of him, but wtf are we doing? Play a youngster..

I get the point, but he must be thinking Casemiro and seasoned international, 5 times CL winner must be able to play a few games at centre half. He is always going to be dribbled past as he is slow, but it was the stupid mistake for the 1st and 4th goals. Basic errors you see in the Sunday league,

His brain looks scrambled.

He has been useless all this season and most of last. The premier league is just too fast for him. He is only 32 and would be fine playing in Italy or Spain for a few years then onto the MLS or Saudi.
Him being humiliated tonight might be a blessing for us since he may be that embarrassed that he agrees to end his contract by mutual consent, so he can move on.
He can’t start at centre back on Sunday. If it has to be the same team then I would play Amrabat on the left. AWB on the right and Evan’s and Dalot in the middle.

Ashley Young was a good guest on Monday night football. Once they were finished with the post match analysis. He was interviewed about his career and spoke about his time at united. And what it was like when Sir Alex retired and what each new manager was like.

Fast forwarded throught most of it but that pre-match analysis of Dalot vs Burnley... wtf was he doing?? He was a liability away at Bournemouth.

Who was to blame for last night?

How many of the dross players' contracts expire in summer?

The unsackable manager continues. How many times have we said this season this is not how a big club behaves.

I think if we didn't have the FA Cup Final then I suspect he would be.

Also given the fact that Wilcox has just arrived, Ashworth not coming in till after the summer and Berrada not till the start of the summer, its a decision they would rather not have to make right now.

There is still lots of change behind the scenes, and I you would suspect they are still trying make those changes to personal and jobs. I agree that after that performance ETH will now be sacked, but you can only imagine they are desperately trying to hold unto the summer and avoid another interim.

Also will an interim really make that much difference? Only have to look back at Ragnick to see how that worked out.

Amusing seeing the injury excuses trotted out as per usual.

Confirming the starting XI we put out had;

7 players Ten Hag signed + 2 players Ten Hag promoted (Mainoo and Garnacho)
6 undisputed first XI players and 2 additional players signed for £60mn and £90mn which should make them first XI if we had a competent manager

Meanwhile Palace were missing 4 of their best XI......

It's utterly abject, the manager is a complete fraud. Worst we've had since Fergie retired, and an absolute travesty that he's still in a job.

Our last 10 league matches;

Fulham - L
City - L
Everton - W
Brentford - D
Chelsea - L
Liverpool - D
Bournemouth - D
Sheffield Utd - W
Burnley - D
Palace - L

That's 2 wins in 10 games (over a quarter of a season) which were both at home vs teams in 15th and 20th

Get Big Sam in, he'd do a better job organising this lot.

This is what happens when you tell most of the team that they are up for sale.

I agree. With our slow defenders, we probably shouldn’t have set up to play as open as we did against a very fast forward lineup and we damned sure should have compacted in defence once we saw the danger they posed during the match rather than maintaining a high pressing defensive line.
Poor initial setup and very poor in-game adaptation. The manager and experienced players could have certainly done better.
The ‘disallowed’ goal might have helped but even then, it’s a long time to withstand the pressure.

I've been following City since 1961 and have seen many st sides, but your lot beat them hands down, at least our players were only on £40 pw,

From what I have seen, you have some decent players but they need a first class coach who will organise them, if they are prepared to listen.

With someone like Pep or Klopp at the helm you could be top three next season.

Shame, because at first I liked ETH, but he is clearly out of his depth.

I think the cup final could be a massacre.

I’m personally still not having it that he’s a lost cause, he’s playing behind a terribly disorganised team, but the shot that thankfully hit the post had him beaten all ends up. He really didn’t do very well at all for that one - has any other keeper tried to save similar by just crouching down???

What do we all think of Hojlund? He seems very willing and he’s clearly not getting great service or support but I looked at him challenging the centre backs again yesterday and he’s not having enough impact yet in my opinion. These CB’s aren’t world beaters so I’d expect him to win at least some duels because he’s a quick strong looking lad. The likes of Zlatan and Toney had/have an obvious flair for it but there’s many other forwards who win more. Is it just early days for him in a stronger league and we’re too reliant on him in isolation?

Pretty sure he was just praying and / or using the force on that one. Seemed to work.
