Had a black Porsche… would never had a black car again… spending the sort of money this car will be I’d want it to look great from every angle. The NA V12 wouldn’t make up for that rear end on the coupe and I don’t do convertibles. I’d slum it in the 812. If I had the money….
I agree that for that kind of money you shouldn't have to get the car in black! I'm hoping when the 12C starts to find owners that 812 residuals get a bit of a kicking.. Would make a good school run car now we're down to 1 kid next term pheonix478 said:

This is going to sound really gauche but I just bought an 812 when placing my deposit down for the 12C as I will get mine somewhere in the tail end of 2025, I am not entirely convinced the 812 market will go too far lower than it is given this new car is starting at £350k and most spec'd cars will come through north of £400k. 812s at 200-230k quite comfortably now and looks a damn deal compared to the latest shiniest one. Think we'll maybe see them at 175-180 or so after the next couple of years for decent cars. mirsgarage said:

812 is a huge amount of car for the current money no question. In my exhaustive survey of the one person I know with an 812 though, he's going to sell it as soon as he gets his 12C. So, current value or not if there are a significant number hit the market it has to drop. At 175 I think one definitely has to go in the keep for ever shed.pheonix478 said:

Yep, in all fairness, I will also sell my 812 when my 12C comes in. So he's not alone there. Thing is I bought mine at £220k - so remains to be seen how much 2 years of motoring will cost me with the 12C in the equation. I think more cars will be available (there are already 50 or something!), so a small 10-15k hit on prices but they'll start shifting quickly once under £200k. Imho F12s and 812s will not drop much more, and then their prices will rise. Why?
For the same reason a nearly-new 296 can cost the same or less than a used F8 – godawful cheapo haptic- / touchscreen-only cabins.
Obviously, it’s not a problem with a daily driver.
But for folks burdened with a multi-fun-car collection, having to re-learn the counter-intuitive touchscreen UI of a car that only gets driven twice or thrice monthly (yearly?) is a mega PITA.
You want to get in and drive, not spend 10 minutes sussing how to reduce the fan speed.
