Another tyre went yesterday after hitting a pot hole on the M11. That’s another £280.00,plus 4 hours sitting on the hard shoulder waiting for BMW Assist, who never arrived - The AA came to my rescue within 35 mins.

So, since 1st December 2023, these wheels/tyres have cost £ 820.00, plus a £20.00 tip to the recovery driver………

Sorry to hear that. As someone who had two nails in two tyres within a couple weeks of each other over the festive period, I understand some of your pain. Luckily, I was able to drive home. But it was a real faff trying to sort out getting new tyres.

I have gone for the 19”s. Your posts on this chat were a big influence, so thank you.

No problem at all, I’m sure you will be suitably impressed - What colour takes your fancy!?

I’ve gone for the Alpina green. Chiefly because the dealer had a D3S in the showroom in green and I thought it looked mega. I like the Alpina blue as well and would have been happy with that, but my current car is blue, so I fancied a change.

I didn’t really consider any of the standard BMW colours. There is nothing wrong with them, but I thought if you are going for an Alpina, you might as well get one of the Alpina specific colours.

On the inside I have gone with Tartufo merino leather.

That's the perfect colour combo. Can't wait to see the pictures.

I would highly consider the 19" wheels. My 23 D3ST I got the 20" and frankly the journo's are rose tinting the ride quality somewhat, I don't think it's good enough quite frankly. I opted for the 20" after looking at the weight comparisons but actually it's the tyre profile that makes the difference.

There are 2 tyre pressures Alpina recommends one is around 2.7 bar and the other 3.5 bar, I have been running the lower since the car was new and recently moved to the higher which if anything didn't change ride quality that much but did make the car go down the road a little easier.

Going to investigate the 19" option as a retro and keep the 20" for resale. The extra profile upto 35 would help I am sure. I am also going to loose the ALP marked tyres and go with trusty MPS4/5 I think.
