JAGUAR 'E' TYPE ROADSTER
1962 Jaguar E Type Roadster.
A stunning concours car fully restored and ready to be enjoyed. Built in early 1962 and first registered in Massachusetts in February that year. The car is an original left hand drive car along with a matching numbers engine. This is confirmed by the heritage certificate. In 2015 the car was specially sourced for a Jaguar restoration company in Germany (Faszination Jaguar) for a full nut & bolt restoration. Whilst being restored, either new parts were used or upgraded new parts; including a 5 speed Tremac gearbox and 4 pot Zeus brakes to help the car stop a little better. The car also benefits from an electronic ignition system and improved cooling to allow for driving in modern day traffic. The car is as good now as the day it was restored in 2017 and certainly better than when it left the Jaguar Factory.
The car was bought by the current owner at the highly regarded Essen ‘Techno Classica’ Motor Show in Germany in March 2017 and unfortunately has not had the use it was intended for. This fabulous E Type would make the perfect European grand tourer, and is very much ready to be used and enjoyed. The car has only covered a few hundred miles since restoration and is offered from a private collection of classic cars, where it has been pampered since it was purchased.
If you are in the market for a perfectly restored Jaguar E Type but don't want to wait, this is the car for you.
