FERRARI 250 GT Lusso POA 1964
The RHD example we are pleased to offer was first delivered to the United Kingdom via Maranello Concessionaires on the 2nd April 1964. Just 23 RHD 250 Lussos were produced, of which only 19 are believed to remain in existence today. In 1986, the car was purchased by the Technical Director of the Scuderia Ferrari Formula One team at the time, a Mr Harvey Postlethwaite.Postlethwaite had the car fully restored with Maranello Concessionaires in 1993. The history file maintains two folders documenting exchanges between Postlethwaite and Maranello during this time as well as the full invoice and list of work done to the car. Also in the vast history folder is a Certificate of Origin, copy of the original sales invoice, as well as a large number of MOT certificates and various sundry invoices for works done to the car. The car remained in the ownership of the Postlethwaite family until 2015 when it was sold to its current owner. The car presents superbly well today and is a matching-numbers engine and gearbox example. The 250 GT Lusso is arguably the most stylish and practical of the 250 GT series and our rare RHD example is ready to be enjoyed by its new owner!
