Stunning TVR Chimera 4.0 1996 - Used in Queens 90th Parade
As we all know Chimera's have character, some good, some bad. This lovely lady has never put a foot wrong - she's one of the good ones, with none of the normal Chimera issues and she's been well looked after. So much so that she was used in the Queen's 90th birthday parade of 90 cars, representing 1996!
I've owned this car for 18 months and loved it, purchased form Amore Autos who had done full checks. Alas I'm moving house due to COVID-19 and downsizing, so we'll have to part ways - although I'm in no rush to sell given its summertime!
There's a full service history. I'm told the previous owner had garaged her for many years and taken excellent care hence the low milage and low number of previous owners.
Whilst I was told that the colour wasn't a popular choice amongst TVRs, I thought otherwise and I've had nothing but compliments about it since I bought her - everyone loves it in the flesh.
The chassis and outriggers are in good condition with only light rust that a waxoil will solve. The interior was renewed just before I bought her so looks fab. The dashboard is in a carbon style with LED dash lights and a push button start. The hood was new on purchase and is in mint condition.
She's getting MOT'ed as I type after being parked through lockdown (will pass when the reflectors and calliper is fitted) and recent work includes:
- upgraded shocks
- new front tyres
- battery isolator key installed
- re-chroming the headlight reflectors (for MOT)
- new brake calliper and hose (for MOT)
She's missing the boot hinge plate (purely cosmetic) which I'm trying to find but might not get round to and there's a small scratch on the boot but otherwise shining after her re-spray a year or so ago. A couple of dings in the front like usual Chimeras, but generally she's in fabulous condition in and out. Happy to take more photos or vids if needed, as don't want to waste time. Serious buyers only please.
