This very well cared for classic Mercedes-Benz SL is a familiar face at SLSHOP, having been sold by us to the current keeper back in 2009.
Diamond Blue is a beautiful shade that suits the delicate lines of the R107 perfectly, and being a metallic paint would have been an expensive optional extra for a 300SL back in 1988. This car also benefits from factory fitted rear seats, another expensive option from the manufacturer brochure.
For the last 11 years we have seen this car at our premises for service and MOT work, as well as to rectify any issues that have arisen during the present ownership. A ring binder accompanies the car, complete with every penny spent for the last 20 years.
The Pre Delivery Inspection is dated 28th August 1988 and stamped by a Mercedes-Benz dealer Croft & Blackburn of Leeds.

Four new Michelin tyres were fitted in March 2020, and works on file show recent new rear shock absorbers, bonnet insulation, upper control arm bushes, timing case seal, front cam seal, rocker cover gasket, fuel pipes, propshaft coupling, heated washer jets and a full service, works totalling some £4,000.
In 2015 when the mileage showed 57,573 this car attended SLSHOP for new rear discs, pads and shoes, as well as rectification of some small niggling issues such as a sticking boot release and replacement interior trim.
