HILLMAN SUPER MINX MK11 1965 - STUNNING - JUST 38K MILES !
Open the door, breathe in the 60,s aroma, let the memory spin back in a millisecond to Green Shield Stamp's, Pink Paraffin, Esso Blue, Hughie Green, Summer Beach Holidays and The Carpenters and you've set the scene of happy times when nobody needed to rush ! A stunningly original and unspoilt example of the Rootes Group Hillman Super Minx Mk 11. Supplied by Henlys, Chelmsford on 25th February 1965, and still bears her original registration prefix and the Henlys supplying dealer rear window sticker. By 1971 the car had covered around 35k miles, and is believed to have taken up residence in the Ramsgate Museum in Kent, where the car lived until 2008. A supporting letter from a previous owner confirms this. A number of previous MOT certificates accompanies the history file, as well as the original handbook and Rootes Group workshop manual. All the original Union "FS" keys are still in existence, which is rare. Study the bodywork, and it is quite incredible how a car can still retain such originality after 55 years. The Forest Green, Code 86, cellulose paint still boasts amazing lustre. Drive is remarkably lively, smooth and tight. The brakes pull the car up in a straight line with no fuss. An extremely nice unspoilt example, which would be very hard to replicate. About as cheap and economical as classic car ownership gets ! May P/X
