AUDI TT QUATTRO (180BHP) With some modifications in Turbo back exhaust and remap. 2004
Thank you for looking at my TT.
1.8T Quattro (originally 180BHP) 6 speed manual ONLY 99000 Miles (used daily currently)
I have owned her for near two years and she has been good to me. Over my ownership she has been mildly modified (please see below).
Prior to my ownership the 18” 3.2 V6 Ronal alloys were fitted and could do with being refurbished.
The cars MOT runs out at the end of November but I am happy to put 12 months MOT before the sale of the car should the sale price be acceptable to me (I see no reason why she will not go through the test feel free to check the MOT history on the government website).
Standard equipment includes;
Body coloured bumpers
Front electric windows
Front fog lights
Height adjustable drivers seat
Leather seat trim
Steering wheel rake adjustment
Steering wheel reach adjustment
Cloth seat trim
Folding rear seats
Isofix child seat anchor points
Partial leather seat trim
Space saver spare wheel
Modifications from standard that have been completed in my ownership;
Ram-air induction kit ( Old air box completely removed)
Mid-range coil overs (I cannot remember the brand) – The ride is firm!
Powerflex Poly bush top mounts – new genuine bearings fitted at the same time.
Fully adjustable drop links
Front and rear wheel spacers (fill the arches with a wider lower stance)
3.2V6 Rear Valance
Full turbo back exhaust system – Quite Loud can provide video as it may not be to everyones taste
Billet waste valve
ECU Remap by remap-kings.
Debadged with new front grille and black Audi emblem on the rear.
Metal number plates
Pioneer stereo fitted with Bluetooth connection for audio and calls
She is quite a quick car and whilst she is driven well within her capabilities she keeps up with a colleagues remapped Audi S3 (BAM Engine) whilst shifting 1000rpm shy of the red line.
Here’s the honest bit!
I never expected to enjoy owning my TT so much I bought her because my better half always liked them and we only needed a car for me to commute 12 miles each way so we could have something fun. The car is 16 years old and therefore does have a couple of age related marks but overall she is in good condition.
A slight nick in the paintwork by the headlamp (I am to blame as when I refurbished the headlamp I caught the paint with the wet and dry paper) there are also a couple of marks on the rear bumper and by the drivers door on the sill there are some black marks which I am sure will come out should you have the Patience to do so.
Since fitting the exhaust she is louder than I expected and at 75-80mph I feel the exhaust note is a little ‘droney’ but this could be my ears.
The ride is firm but the handling is great!
The car does have a fault with the fuel gauge the reading is out by roughly a quarter so when the car is empty it shows ¼ of a tank this does not bother me as the problem has been there since I bought it and has not got worse, the digital mile counter works perfectly and has the correct readings.
Only one key
To the best of my knowledge these are all of the so called ‘bad bits’ that seems common in all used car adverts.
During my ownership along with the small modifications there has been the inevitable maintenance required so I have;
Replaced all 4 coil packs – common issue on these cars and believe there was even a recall a long time ago with an expected life of 100k mine lasted until 97k when I changed them.
When replacing the exhaust system I also replaced BOTH o2 sensors.
I have had the annual service carried out by a friend who is a Toyota technician but spent his apprentice within the VAG group.
I have replaced the front brake pads and discs approximately 10k ago
All four tyres have been replaced within the last 7k
During lockdown I had to replace the thermostat as the engine was remaining cool constantly resulting in poor fuel economy.
I am also a big advocate of the fuel flushes and injector cleaners whist I have put in sporadically.
As you can see from the pictures I run the car without the engine cover from recommendation of the service technician but it does come with the car.
The car is only being sold due to starting a new position in Maidstone on November 1st that luckily comes with a company car.
Any questions or queries please do not hesitate to contact me I am happy to send additional pictures or videos.
The car is situated in Folkestone Kent, I work Monday to0 Friday 8am -6pm so viewing will have to be in the evening or weekend. Accompanied test drives are not a problem but no test pilots and test drive will be refused if suspected of not being a serious buyer.
