1985 Mercedes-Benz 500SL (R107) Last of the Early Cars
1985 Mercedes-Benz 500SL (R107)
Signal Red with Black Leather and Black Softop
Can there be a more iconic colour combination than Signal Red with Black Leather Interior?
Signal Red is the shade that many go to immediately when thinking of an R107. Blame Bobby Ewing, blame the 1980s… but you have to agree it’s a fantastic hue for the shape of the car. Whilst we see many of the later style R107’s in this colour (post 1986 facelift cars), it’s rare to find early cars as good as this one. Being a 1985 car, this 500SL was built just before the major shift to the new style for 1986.
These early cars are really starting to gain in momentum, particularly if they are equipped with the Mexican Hat style alloy wheels. This car ticks all the boxes, and is ready to be used and enjoyed.
Coming from long term ownership, this car has been the property of a customer who has become a friend over recent years. Now looking to downsize his collection, this 500SL is looking for a new owner.
