LAND ROVER RANGE ROVER CLASSIC TURBO D 1989
Registered G252 RSO, this 1989 LHD Range Rover Vogue 2.4L Turbo Diesel was produced only months after the new model of the time was released at the British Motor Show. The four cylinder turbo-charged intercooled diesel engine is married to a 5-speed manual gearbox and the vehicle drives in permanent 4WD.
Registered in December 1989 this 2393cc Classic was one of the first to house the Borg Warner transfer gearbox specifically designed for the Range Rover. Between the years of 1989 to 2015, this Shire Blue Range Rover resided in Madrid, before it was imported to the UK by the previous owner. The import meant a number of changes to comply with UK regulations such as a change to the headlight to ensure legality. Upon arrival, the vehicle was treated to four new tyres, a new battery, a full service, and a more desirable 4-spoke steering wheel. Also added were a host of back dated suffix A features making the external visuals look older than it originally is.
Later down the line, a refurbished, wax oiled chassis and a full respray in Shire Blue were added to complete the look of this unique original. Supplied with the original handbook, this Vogue has covered only 60,618 miles from new as its previous owner covered only a very limited amount of mileage and the vehicle was not worked or used for towing.
A beautiful example of a classic, it is currently on show here at The Old Cinema. It can be prepared ready for the road or delivered on covered transport.
