1972 JAGUAR E-TYPE

First registered in January 1972 (K Reg) this Series 3 V12 E-Type Fixed Head Coupe is a UK supplied Right Hand Drive car. Finished in its delightful original colour scheme of British Racing Green with Olive Green Leather. A copy of the Buff Log Book is with the cars records showing three early keepers until 1977. Subsequently, four private keepers are known. Coming to us in exchange for an Automatic gearbox Series 3, (the last keeper being a London resident who likes to use his classic E-Type in town) this is an excellent example with the benefit of Chrome Wire Wheels and a Webasto Roof which was fitted by Tudor Webasto in April 1979. The ownership file contains invoices going back to 1977; more recently in the summer of 2021 we understand that the following works were carried out: Spark Plug Service, New uprated Ignition System, Carburettors rebuilt, New Air Filters, New Radiator, Hoses and Thermostat, New Brake Servo, Master Cylinder and Reservoir. Most of the MoT certificates are on file between 1983 and 1999 and this, in our opinion confirms the current mileage of 54,000 although given the age of the car we cannot reasonably warrant the mileage as correct. Launched in 1971 the Series 3 E-Type added 6 Inches to the wheelbase allowing the taller driver to enjoy more space and a more comfortable interior, without losing too much of the visceral E-Type experience, albeit now with the fabulously smooth 12-cylinder power plant. Prior to delivery we will undertake our usual 120 Point Pre-delivery inspection and although now MoT exempt, we will obtain a fresh MoT, for peace of mind A very smart example of the marque, in a preferred colour scheme with the additional benefit of being a home market car making it rarer than an imported car with just over 2,100 RHD examples manufactured.
