EXTERIOR

Audi have forged a unique reputation in creating performance variants and with this purposeful B7 Cabriolet they remain true to form with deep sills, wide arches and huge road presence. The Mugello Blue paintwork is in excellent condition all round with only an isolated dusting of chips to front bumper, lights and bonnet commensurate with age and mileage. The canvas roof in a matching dark blue retains excellent colour and integrity.

With bold arches, much like the B5, there is scope for peppering but there is nothing major to report. A very clean and well kept example indeed.

INTERIOR

The fit and finish of the modern day Audi is exemplary and the cabin here has worn particularly well. Specified with comfort seats, punched with RS4 at the top and finished in soft nappa leather, they may not be quite as visually stimulating or supportive as the wing back recaros but they are no doubt a much more practical and comfortable choice; especially when it comes to rear access and room.

The lacquered carbon fibre trim creates a smart contrast to the dark cabin and helps define the cars features. Push button start is standard along with a punched leather steering wheel and gear knob that remain in excellent condition showing little wear for its mileage. The electric folding roof operates smoothly and quickly, providing open air thrills and that mega V8 soundtrack.

The carpets, gearbox tunnel and entry strips are pleasingly free of marks with switchgear in excellent condition and in fine operational order.

ENGINE & TRANSMISSION

The high revving 4.2 V8 under the bonnet makes for an addictive soundtrack and looks ever bit the part, on show and surrounded with RS4 logos and carbon trim rather than hidden under plastic covers. The exhaust is tuned to create a aural symphony of V8 burble via those stunning chrome tail pipes, all adjustable via valves controlled with the dash sport button.

The 6 Speed Getrag manual gearbox is mated to Audis Torsen based quattro system providing superior grip in all weather conditions.

WHEELS, TYRES & BRAKES

The double spoke alloy wheels are in excellent condition, finished in OEM silver with Pirelli P Zero rubber on all four corners.

The Audi Brembo gloss black 8 pot brakes provide huge stopping power and having been treated to fastidious service intervals maintain excellent feel and performance.
