These cars need no introduction - here we have a 2019 Suzuki Jimny SZ5. You know the one, the little 'jeep', beep, beep. This gen 4 follows on from the gen 3 model, which hung around for sale for nearly 20 years. Yes, it was that 'good', but this one is even better. Much better. Much, much better. It's definitely better.
However, either Suzuki didn't want the UK market to get overcrowded with these little jeeps, or they just messed-up the supply completely, because, well, if you walk into a dealership then you're not going to be able to drive out in one for a long, long time. Rumours are there is a 12 month waiting list, another rumour has it at 18 months and others just pick a random number for the waiting list time, the highest of which I've seen being 36 months - that's like 3 years!! Numerically Suzuki themselves said in November 2018 (before they opened the order books) there were over 11,000 expressions of interest and they were only going to supply 600 cars in the first half year. That'll definitely create a backlog then...but may save them millions on missing their EU emissions targets, which seems to be the real reason why they are not bringing many to the UK.
So, what is the spec of this car. Well, it's got everything - everything that is listed on the Suzuki Cars UK website under Jimmy SZ5. Their website it helpful like that. I have put a photo in this advert that compares this top spec with the only other spec known as the SZ4 (shall we call it the 'poverty' spec). Nothing wrong with that spec and many happy customers have that (they seem to really like the steel wheels it has!). It's just, well, it's not the top spec is it?
A special thing on this one are the carbon details. The carbon wrap looks almost like the real thing, but is considerably cheaper. Win, win. So, that'll be the front 'S' badge, the wing mirrors (I mean door mirrors - they moved the mirrors from the wing of a car to the door many moons ago), and the rear spare wheel cover. These bits mean this car is definitely a 'carbon edition' of the Jimny - no weight saving properties, but a saving on your wallet.
How does it drive. Easy way to find out is to check out one of the car reviews on Youtube, as they do a pretty good job with that kind of thing. The highest viewcount is for the Carwow video, so maybe check that one out to give it even more views (2.5million at time of writing).
Speaking of YouTube, if you buy this car then you will join the car YouTube elite who themselves have 'invested' in one. The main man, Shmee150 being the latest to add one to his 'garage'. Before him Archie Hamilton Racing and TGE went halves on one, that way they can get more views on both channels, they're not silly them two. But you'll also follow in the footsteps of Jonny, from Fifth Gear, now of 'Smith and Sniff', who got the very first customer Jimny in the UK and is a proper genuine buyer of the car, lovingly bought for his wife. He'll definitely keep it for a long, long time though he's not made any videos of his personal one yet, just the press car he drove last November. But that is one of my favourite videos on the new Jimny, and believe me I've watched lots.
Due to the real lack of supply I was going to price this car high, at like £29,999 as some are on autotrader, but then I thought I would do the community a favour and offer it at a much lower price, some might say a bargain price. In fact, it's definitely a bargain. At £24,999 I'm practically giving it away. In fact, if someone did hand me £24,999 then I would give it to them.
Remember this car is unique, it's a one-off, no other car is exactly the same as this one. You cannot buy it from Suzuki, but you can buy it from me. So if you want it, then I have it, for now...as those in the trade say - 'first to see will buy'. I guess that means see in the flesh, because if you're reading this then you have seen it in the photos. It looks good doesn't it. Do you want it? Well you can have it...for just £24,999.

Great little runabaout, not one issue with the car in over three years so far. Servicing is cheap enough even at main dealer. The car doesn't get pampered and it still scrubs up really nice with a decent wash.
Fuel consumption sounds high for a 1.3 in a car that is very slow, but it gets... Read the full summary
