2000 ‘W’ (private plate N20 MBJ not included)
I have owned the car since October 2005 with a recorded mileage of only 6,000 and since then it has lived in a heated garage, not taken out in rain unless caught and never seen salty roads. It has been extensively improved and modified over the period that I have owned it. It is regarded by most (and TVRCC) as one of the best out there. It has appeared twice at the national classic car show at the NEC on the TVR stand in 2012 and 2015. I was approached a few times with a proposal of purchase, though it was not for sale. It won Best Chimaera at ‘Chimfest’ 2014 and a secret concours award at Neil Garners in the same year. I was unaware it had been considered. It appeared on the front cover of TVRCC’s magazine ‘Sprint’ in November 2014 with an eight page feature inside. It is a well known car on PH also.The car has covered only 22857 miles from new. This is my 4th TVR, I have hundreds of photographs detailing the build and two A4 box folders full of receipts of the spend which is sobering to say the least. Any modifications have been done with an eye for a 'factory' look so as not to personalise. Brief overview as follows;
EXTERIOR; Starmist blue paint which is detailed annually, blue hood, ‘Cerbera LW’ headlight conversion by ‘Option One’ done in 2006 with accompanying DVD of work progress. Additional discrete vents to aid cooling. White front and side indicators. 18” TVR Spider 5 stud wheel conversion.
INTERIOR; Magnolia half leather with blue door tops, blue alcantara door cards and dash top, blue leather steering wheel with alacantara centre and boost control buttons, blue carpets with magnolia piping and is perfect. Walnut dash, Complete ‘Leven’ silver kit throughout including pedals. Blue ‘Chimaera’ over carpets. Special order TVR gauges for boost and oil temp/pressure so as to match and maintain existing 'factory' look.
ENGINE; Original 450 block (matching numbers), cross bolted mains, Top-Hat liners, low compression ‘Ross Racing’ forged pistons with ceramic coated crowns and Teflon coated skirts, cc’d ported and flowed big valve cylinder heads, enlarged ported and flowed intake manifold, enlarged ported and flowed short trumpet base, thermal insulator, enlarged throttle, ‘Yella-Terra’ roller rockers, MLS gaskets, Lightened steel flywheel, all engine internals/ flywheel and clutch assembly fully balanced throughout, ‘ARP’ studs/bolts throughout, ‘Twin’ oil coolers with remote full size filter and separate oil thermostat to maintain correct oil temperature, Ceramic coated exhaust manifolds (in and out) with non-reversal cones, turbocharged with air to air intercooler, ceramic coated turbo housing and pipework. This is not simply a buy bits and bolt together build and a lot of additional work has gone into it.
ENGINE MANAGEMENT; MS2 ecu (fully mappable) controlling fuel and spark, upgraded fuel injectors and fuel pump, MSD coil-packs, adjustable boost control via steering wheel buttons (6 settings available, infinitely adjustable and currently set at 3; Low/mid/ high. (300-450-573hp)
DRIVETRAIN; TKO600 gearbox, McLeod RST twin plate clutch, upgraded ‘Dave-Mac’ driveshafts. ( in order to reliably handle extra power/torque available)
ROLLING CHASSIS; Chassis is immaculate and wants for nothing (I mean nothing)being cleaned and inspected annually, rubber backed stainless steel stone gaurds fitted to prevent ingress of road debris between body and chassis, new drop-links and strengthened anti-roll bar mounts, Gaz Gold adjustable shock absorbers, 327mm ‘AP racing’ four pot brake upgrade to front, braided brake lines all round. It has new Rainsport tyres and MOT until April 2018, indoor car cover.
It has been said that pictures do not do the car justice and despite the immense power available it can be driven like miss Daisy and is smooooth, press on however with upper boost levels and any that have experienced it are left,,,, impressed to say the least. This is a seriously fast car and not one to be confused with others. (Well, there is 610 lb/ft torque available)
I have made an honest advert with a realistic price in mind so please with respect don't enquire with statements such as 'how much will you take?' or 'I only have £25k' without even seeing the car as the conversation will end there. If however you are serious I will only be too pleased to make any inspection available and consider a serious offer.
