Up for sale is my 2004 CV8 (VY V2 series). The car was first registered in December 2004, and is a "big boot" low road tax model. The car features a 5.7l gen 3 LS1 V8 and Tremec T56 6 speed manual gearbox.
This car benefits from a Full Service History (detailed below), full book and manual pack with 2 remote keys, recent underseal treatment (using the recommended Bilt Hamber Dinitrol & Dynax products, including full cavity wax), and several popular upgrades, improvements, and bits of preventative maintenance.
The car also had 4 brand new Dunlop Sportmaxx RT2 tyres fitted in January 2017 (these have only done about 3k miles and are like new).
I bought this car 5 years ago from respected Monaro specialist, Elite Cars of Kingsley. Since I've owned the car,it's mostly been looked after by specialists with Monaro experience (Holden Racing and NWJ Autocare), as well as my trusted local garage for smaller jobs.
When I first bought the car it was completely standard. Since then, I've fitted facelift VZ Monaro wheels (18 inch). These are the same wheel and tyre size as the standard wheels, but have a slight dish and wider spokes than the standard VY wheels.
I've also fitted a 2.5 inch Pacemaker exhaust from Australia. This is a true dual cat back system with a crossover pipe, and it gives a lovely deep burble with the odd pop and bang on the overrun. The exhaust is currently on the 'loud' setting, though I have a new, unused 'quiet' pipe setup as well which will come with the car (this consists of one additional silencer per cylinder bank). The car is also fitted with tubular VXR manifolds (same as the 5.7 VXR), which really help power (the standard cast iron manifolds on the CV8 are rather restrictive).
This car was the fastest non FI, non cammed LS1 at Thunder Road when I attended one year, and produced a healthy 360-380bhp (adjusted engine figures) on the Surrey Rolling Road Monaro & HSV dyno day, so it's clearly a healthy example and is benefiting from the manifolds and exhaust.
The car was fitted with a brand new, upgraded LS7 clutch and flywheel, clutch slave cylinder, GM motorsports (GMM) ripshifter, and remote bleed line last year (2016) at a cost of £1600. The gearbox spigot bearing was also changed during this time, and address one of the few potential weak-spots of the Monaro's drivetrain.
This car has also had the "cluster mod" done under my ownership. This mod activates features built into the instrument cluster that were never offered in the UK market; a system check at startup, the Holden splash screen, and a gearshift light and buzzer (with a cold and warm engine shift limits that change as the engine reaches operating temperature).
A new, uprated Mishimoto triple core aluminium radiator with life time warranty was fitted in summer 2017.

During my ownership, I've been an active member on the PH Monaro sub forum, and have attended many socials and events. I'll be sad to leave behind this community, and lose the joy of V8 motoring, but my motoring needs have changed and it's time to let someone else enjoy this car.
Although I've done a lot of work on the car, there are a few small cosmetic niggles. The alloy wheels could do with a refurb, there is a minor mark on the front bumper and a cracked fog light (though the light still works). I also received a bump on the rear passenger bumper. Generally, none of these cosmetic issues have detracted from my enjoyment of the car, but I appreciate some people may want to get them rectified.
The last MOT identified corrosion on the rear brake lines. The car has been booked in to have these replaced.
All of the electrics in the car work. The interior is standard and the leather seats have been cleaned and had leather feed applied on a regular basis. The car has the standard Monaro spec, including electric adjust front seats, cold dual zone air con, parking sensors, auto lights etc.
If you have any questions please feel free to give me a call or email (I'm bound to have forgotten to include some info). Test drives will be offered only if you have proof of insurance, and I'm more than happy to take prospective buyers out for a drive too and negotiate on price after you've seen the car.

Not as crude or brutal as you might imagine, even economy isn't ~that~ bad.
Ripshifter makes a huge difference to the gear change. Read the full summary
