This just gets even worse...

Super Replicas sister company, Top Gear Productions, is now claiming that they are the same people who make the television programme in America, and by the looks of it the three hosts are helping to make the cars as well!

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CtgT59dE2Fg&lis...

In this new video they are trying to sell us this Ferrari 599 'replica', but the guys seems to think it's actually called the 'Ferrari F99'.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=y_qfAq4Hans&lis...

Apparently they are also building luxury million-pound yachts inside this building as well (According to the website anyway). Does the roof come off the workshop or something?

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WKuK9q4pieo&lis...

Who on earth would believe this rubbish, seriously. What a load of crap. rolleyes

It is a joke that people on here are taking seriously... which makes it a well executed joke.

There are some on here who insist it's a scam (see my posts above^^^). If they can't see what is a joke and what isn't, I underestimate the stupidity of the general public.

If its a joke it's unfortunately not very funny. They have done a great job of looking like a scam outfit and whilst the whole thing is laughable, it's doesn't appear to be intentionally funny.

Really...? Get real.

It's obviously a bloody scam. Why would someone go to such lengths to create an entire workshop themed with the Super Replicas/Top Gear st, hire out various supercars and replica supercars, spend hours filming and putting together videos, construct a whole website and host it on several different URL's and also set up a YouTube channel if it's all a joke. Seems a bit extreme to me.

Sorry but that's a ridiculous point to make when you think about it.

On a lighter note, here's another video to have a laugh at. Super Replicas 'happy client': http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8LKrz9IpYAorofl

There you go then. I underestimated the stupidity of the general public. Glad I'm not the only one who thought it was a joke, otherwise I would have had to consider the fact that I may have super-powers.

If anyone was caught out by it, they probably deserve it. Much like all idiots who send off money/goods in the eBay/Nigerian etc scams.

I have done a bit of reading and it's a genuine company in Panama who seem to make some cars, but there are lots of stories of them failing to deliver.

A local resident visited their workshops but they couldn't show him vehicles that foreign customers wanted to see before sending final payments:

A very long thread - including a brit "Mark Allsworth" who claims to have been scammed, lots of posts by father "Tom Allsworth":
http://scamsonline.wordpress.com/2008/08/05/supere...

Mark Allsworth presumably intended to sell them at this UK dealership, which still seems to be in operation, presumably from another maker now:

If it is a joke then it is one of the unfunniest jokes I've heard and if it is a scam then it looks like it is going to be one of the least productive scams going. I'd rather use my cash to help my until recently unknown Nigerian uncle who needs some cash to help clear a £20million government loan.

Who wants to volunteer to enter into negotiations with them to find out for sure? I, for one, am ooot.
