I think most people who were there and 'aware' of what was unfolding, will never forget it. It was an EPIC motor race main story line with Rodriguez of course ... the top shots were oversteering and powersliding right along the top straight (Brands GP) with 500 bhp overwhelming skinny Dunlop wets every metre of the way. Minimal downforce. Heroic car control from the leaders, sublime to watch ...

I recall the smash on the top straight with Terry Smith (?) in a T70 in the opening laps. The circuit became so slimey with cars coming back on dragging so much muck, it was more akin to a rally stage. And being driven by some as such.
Just spectating was pretty heroic.
I remember it had a profound effect on my own ambitions ...
Absolute classic.
