Ok so I don't smoke never have. Nether does my brother. However he smokes cigars, the big thick expensive ones. If is forever at me to try one, as according to him you don't take it in to your lungs. Its about the taste. Not sure about it. I thought you had to be a smoker to enjoy cigars

Im a non-smoker and enjoy the very occasional cigar (and also sheesha), try it, nothing lost if you dont like it. Its not just about the taste for me I find it rather relaxing and pleasing a bit like sitting round an open fire.

I've never smoked, well, apart from a few 'blunts' during university, and a couple of my friends smoke cigars. They treat it a bit like fine wine and purchase the larger more expensive items, and maybe light one up once or twice a week.

I was quizzing one of them on it one evening, and the next week he posted me a really nice 'cigar starter pack' with a nice cutter device and 2 large Cuban 'corona' cigars, plus a fancy large 'Rum flavoured' one.

I haven't got round to sparking them up, but now the weather is better I'm looking forward to sitting outside with a vodka or a brandy and having a go!

I gave up the fags about 8 years ago. The smell of cigarette smoke disgusts me now but I still like the occasional cigar without rekindling my nicotene addiction.

I'm a non smoker and I enjoy the occasional cigar - I used to do it a lot at Uni (to much derision) until I made the mistake of taking in a lungful.

Now, it's occasional and I enjoy it - The following morning, however, my mouth is drier than a snakes ass in a wagon rut.

Has MatlePrat been banned or something? Surely he should be in this thread by now telling us about the pleasure one gets from puffing away on a freshly rolled Havana during a post dinner Cognac? confused

I'm a non-smoker and I enjoy cigars once or twice a year. I used to enjoy them more often and once got to the stage of having at least one a week, but I decided I was becoming a smoker and cut right back.

As a non-smoker, maybe

Cigars are about the taste and aroma, not about the nicotine like cigarettes are.

As an ex-smoker, no you can't enjoy them really as for most people they quickly lead back onto cigarettes because they do contain some nicotine.

Unfortunately, I fall into the latter, which is a shame as I'd like to be able to enjoy a stogie on special occasions.

I quit cigarettes and after a break of being a non smoker became addicted to cigars.

They contain more nicotine than cigarettes and for me were mor difficult to give up.

I love the smell of both cigars and cigarettes but I am glad not to smoke either anymore.
