Come on, in relation to the other thread, what do you not allow your children to do they might consider "odd" later in life?

I'll start: I wont let my kids eat whole grapes. They must be cut up by me and I have to watch them eat them. (I have a fearof choking and once read Grapes were by far the biggest culprit of choking in kids)

Mine also arent allowed chewing gum or allowed to watch Harry Potter or Ben 10.

I thought it might be a bit too scary for them. Ideally I'd like to watch it first but then that means actually watching Harry Potter and I just dont fancy it. So I told the kids they were too young and they seem to be happy with that.

Strangly though my 5 year old had a Ghostbuster party for his 5th Birthday after becoming obsessed with it when watching at 4 years old so im not exactly consistant.

i think with regard to the choking hazard its more the ones that arent seedless...
and why are they not allowed to watch Harry potter, unless theyre about 2 i think at least the 1st 2 or 3 are perfectly suitable for children,

I don't have kids, but if/when I do, they certainly won't be allowed a smartphone or their own computer in their room until they're 16.

My children aren't allowed to play with tigers or the lawnmower. Lawnmower is fine as long as it isn't switched on.

The oddest thing I won't let my children do is exist.

Harry Potter is a 12 certificate, so not letting them seems quiet sensible to me.

Mine is 11 months old so not much at the moment. The only thing I do which my parents find amusing is there is no rap music in the house or car when she's about. Coming from someone with over 6000 records most of which are rap.

I have however noticed that there are some questionable cartoons on kids tv these days. There are certain things I don't mind being on, Fireman Sam, Curious George etc but some just seem full of bad breed children being rude to everyone.

whilst i'm still planning for my own pipsqueaks, when i babysit my friends kid's know they won't get away with much.

one of the girls is a complete drama queen, one day whilst we were round at a party she fell over, i was closet so was able to get her to stand up and stop crying within seconds, if her nan had been there first the wailing would have gone on forever!!

My 2 year old boy knows nothing of the world of drinks outside of milk or water. Same goes for chocolate, and crisps.

I correct my 3yo's speech.

For example "I done a poo daddy"
"no, you did a poo"

100%. My wife was a children's nurse and has witnessed a kid die from choking on a grape. Seriously dangerous for young kids.

Not 100%, more like a 1 in 20 million occurence. Life is chance, be lucky.

Just wait until he goes somewhere for an unattended (by you) play date - or a party where it's hard to control them wink
