Do I have any rights in regard to 20 to 30 cyclists blocking access to my house and two other houses??

As the better weather is now here the local cycling group are back on with their organised runs every Thursday night. Sometimes when they meet they park and block a junction across the road from my house and we get to gaze admiringly while a few relieve themselves in the neighbors hedge rolleyes however once their run is done they park over my driveway. Last night my neighbor turned off the main road to pull into drive and got stopped and ignored until hand went to horn in order for them to move. I have found out the name of the local club and would like to politely ask them to find another finishing point but want to know if I have any rights to ask them to move first.

Shoot the fattest ones in the a*se with an air-rifle, and continue to do so - they'll soon get the message.

Maybe not PC but neither is someone p*ssing in your garden. Start with the fatties and work your way down - we don't want to discriminate here.

Come to think of it, maybe starting with the skinnymalinks might provide a more rapid response and they might clear off sooner. I'd try a fatty, then a skinnymalink, then a fatty . . .

Keep us posted. Oh, and if you get the chance - take some photos of any fit-looking ladies in the crowd and post them on here.

Below is a dodgy pic of the junction. They park on the junction itself right up to the bollards to the right of the pic. Along the white lines and down the slope that gives access to the three houses.

They seem so keen on videos these days, why not film them & post it on youtube?

Just ask them politely.
If not, try asking again whilst wearing a horsey people 'Polite' vest.
If still no luck punch the leader in the face. I believe it's what they do in London?

Honest answer, I find them slightly intimidating, I'm not a fan of large groups so approaching 20-30 men and asking them to move is not something I plan on doing.

I'd make a point of driving in and out every 2 minutes whilst they're there. If they ignore you just a quick beep of the horn to make them move (like they're not bothering you). They'll soon get bored.

Maybe you could call the police if they're causing an obstruction? It they're actually stopping you accessing the side road from the main road then they'll do something about it.

No, we just go straight to option 3!

1) Get a bicycle
2) Join the club
3) Get on the organizing committee
4) Bribe members with cake, they like cake
5) Suggest that they find another start/end point
6) ?????
7) Profit.

Borrow a small tank and run the bikes over.

And electric fence in the hedge...

Steady on, you'll create a black hole with that kind of divide by zero behaviour.

Holy crap, someone being genuine on the internet.

I imagine if you approach them in a friendly manner, and politely ask them if they could leave space for you to get through in the future, they'll acquiesce. Look for someone with a clipboard, it's unlikely that they're an unorganized group with those kinds of numbers.

They're cyclists, not a lynch mob! They'll be civil enough. "'scuse me lads, could I get through please...<>...thanks" will be sufficient. I speak as a lycra-wearing, cake-craving cycling type smile

What is it with people being afraid to talk to one another these days?

Just tell them you pay 'road tax' so you've more right to it than them....works a treat every time.
