£7k maybe but £700? I think you’re ok.

If you think you’re not I’d look elsewhere for a van…

Not worth the risk, better to look for a van around the £650 mark. The level of risk is orders of magnitude lower at this price point.

How do you close the door on an AI bot?

Asking for a friend, he’s selling a cheap van.

Still a bit risky, I would ask them to give it to you for free, that way they can't take your money and shut the door in your face.

If anything, someone selling a van for £700 is probably more honest than another selling at £7k. Or a main dealer, or Big Motoring World, etc Its more likely that someone looking at a £700 van would try and steal it from under the nose of the seller, which would be trivially easy if they've given you the keys to look at it.

Agreed, this is the most sensible option. To reduce the risk further you should also take their shoes.

You give them £ 10 and they give you a piece of van. You keep doing this until you have all the van, and they have all the money. All you have to do is reassemble the van.
