Mainly posted to applaud the guys skills at saving it, but I guess it's a good reminder to expect the unexpected!

Warning - contains guts and gore

It seems to be a parasitic data mining operation piggybacking YT content - lock down their access, sanitise and repost the link, remove from allowed apps, rinse and repeat...

Agreed, any link like that on FB is bad news.

Never allow these apps access to your pages!

Seen this before: amazing that the guy saves it, ad how far the deer goes down the road - the smears of blood were definitely a factor in me moving to leathers.

Isn't this actually quite bad riding? The roads seemed clear to the side - he should have seen the deer before it got to the tarmac and moved over across the road (I think he was in the middle/kerb-side of the lane).

You ever tried second guessing a deer or any other wildlife?

I'd say the save was more luck than judgement, it is just instinctive and sometimes you get away with it and other times you don't. I hit a fox at about 90 on a 250LC many moons ago, i just braced and awaited the pain or certain death (as i was in white trainers, jeans and a paddock jacket) but fortununately (for me) the only fatality was the fox. I cannot claim it was my god like (in my head at the time but now known not to be true)riding skills. It was luck.

Yep yes

I hit a Peasant on the DRZ400, I saw it come out of the hedgerow right in front of me, low and fast I had no chance to do anything other than relax and let it happen...the moment passed with a bang/jolt and a wobble...and lots of feathers, blood and guts...lovely!!!!!
biggrin

Did you mean pheasant, rather than peasant...

smile

I've managed to avoid interacting with wildlife so far.

If it was a peasant you were even luckier!
