does the reverse light switch and the speed transducer share the same +feed ?

my reverse-light isnt working, engine isnt running as smooth as expected and its only 2 moths a go where a new speed transducer was installed (from the former car-owner). i think he also tried to cure the un-smooth running, but wothout success.

if both functions share the same plus-feed a new trasnducer might not cure any problems when he isnt connected anywhere to plus.

forgot to say: the speedo is working correctly.

Yes if the brake and reverse lights work you have power to the sender on the same feed.

On my 97 the reverse is from fuse 8, brakes are from fuse 18, speed sender does not have a live feed it is a connection (grey wire) from the speed module, the other side of the sender is a black wire to earth.
