Does anyone have one yet?
After nearly two years with a Desire I've just upgraded. T-Mobile offered me a stonking deal when I called up just now to get my PAC - I was planning on changing to O2. The offer was £29 for the handset, then £12 a month for 24 months with 100 mins, 500 texts, unlimited web browsing/750mb for downloads and an unlimited booster of either landline calls, T-Mobile calls or texts to any network.
I'd be interested to hear owners' first thoughts on the handset.

Yes, got one on Thursday on T-Mobile who I've been pretty happy with.
As I said in the other thread on iPhone 4S vs One X, the device is fantastic and the combination of the ergonomics, hardware, ICS and Sense 4 make for an utterly slick user experience.
The deal you've been offered is awesome - I wouldn't hesitate a second.
Gary.

I got offered the same deal but handset cost of £129 (I'm not quite as profitable to them!) when I called for my PAC code. After nearly two years with a Desire I've just upgraded. T-Mo

I'll give them a few days to see if they call me with a slightly better deal, otherwise I'll go for it.
Been hesitating on this because everyone was concerned about battery life. I watched a video which mentioned that taking the battery off charge at 8am he still had 15-20% left at 11:30 so no improvement over my desire but I've learnt to cope (like leaving chargers everywhere I may be).
How are you finding the battery life so far?

That's probably an app that they are running not letting the phone idle or him not putting the phone down. How are you finding the battery life so far?
Also did they turn off wifi, gps etc when not in use.
Most tests are showing about 4hrs playing hd video on a continuous loop and about 12hrs for a medium user.
Mine arrived on Thursday, been playing with it ever since, sharp, clear screen, lighter than my Desire, huge memory in comparison so I am hoping not to have the memory issues I used to have, battery seems good so far and I have been using it a lot.
Transferring contacts can be done via bluetooth or of course via your Google+ account, will also bring across Facebook and Hotmail contacts, which meant I had multiple entries, but it also lets you merge contracts which is cool.
Really impressed so far.

Thanks for your response. They didn't go into too much detail with the battery life. It sounded like they had used it throughout the day rather than running benchmark programs. Also did they turn off wifi, gps etc when not in use.

Sounds like a great phone though. 12 hours isn't particularly great but it's, unfortunately, the norm at the moment it seems.
Checked with T-M today that they're sending a black one not a white one. He also teased me by saying that the first 500 customers to get one were receiving a free set of Beats Audio headphones with the phone - couldn't confirm if I was one though.
Had a look at a One X in Carphone Warehouse yesterday too - blimey it's a lovely thing! The screen was jaw-droppingly good. Don't seem to be any screen protectors or cases out for them yet though.
I've also provisionally sold my Desire for £100 as well, which is nice.

Anyone been able to find out which microsim standard HTC have adopted for this, there are 2, Apple's and Nokia's, but currently unable to determine which.
Microsim? So when my new handset arrive next week, the SIM in my Desire won't fit?
