Just looking for info really from those in the know.

In 2000 as a 10 year old boy I flew back from Singapore to London on a Singapore Airlines 747-400 registration 9V-SPK which would go on, a few months later to crash and kill everybody on-board. The plane was 1 of 2 in a special livery, boarding it I was very excited, always been into planes.

in 2007 I flew London > Singapore on a BA 747, we pulled up next to a newly delivered Singapore Airlines A380 and thought wow thats big! I've always wanted to fly on an A380 since but haven't managed it yet.

Anyway, Me and the wife are flying to Bali in March with Singapore Airlines/Scoot
London > Singapore A350
Singapore > Bali 787-10
Bali > Singapore 787-9 (Scoot)
Singapore > London A380

Weer flying Economy on all flights, do you get alcohol in Economy these days?any tips and tricks with Singapore Airlines/Scoot?

We both have signed up to Krisflyer so believe we get "free" wifi.

I have lounge access through dragonpass plus so might try use a few passes.

Wife's first long haul flight, my first since 2008.

SQ offer free booze in economy. Scoot don't (Scoot don't even like you taking your own snacks on!).

I like flying Singapore airlines (I've flown them down to Australia 3 times in the last 3 years). Changi is a nice airport to connect in. Wifi on board isn't super fast but adequate for messaging.

Worth keeping an eye to see if Singapore offer a reasonably priced upgrade to premium economy for the flight from Singapore to London. Thanks for not using Russian airspace, this is a bit of a slog now (13 hours or so).

Edit - lounge wise in Changi using DragonPass - go to Plaza Premium in Terminal 2. Get a shower, some chicken rice and a tiger or 2 before your flight down on Scoot. The DragonPass lounges in T3 are ste - I'd go to T2 even if my connecting flight is in T3 (piece of piss to get between the 2).

Singapore Airlines through Changi is our preferred route between Aus and UK - one of us usually flies it once a year. Reliably good and clean, Changi is one of the best airports to lay over for long haul, and service is usually pretty good.

Enjoy the trip!
