Thanks for the heads-up, was planning to use it Tue 9th & Fri 12th. Do French transport workers' strikes have a habit of being called off last minute or is this quite likely to go ahead..?

Wouldn't be Le Mans without a strike or blockade threat

In the words of Mike Hawthorn, 'Classic French'.

In related news, talk of longer trams sounds good, should make them a bit less crowded and less chance of having to travel into town with some Frenchman's armpit in your face.

If you read the article, to be fair the drivers concerns sound pretty reasonable.

I think the way forward is to postpone the introduction of the new longer trams.
I'll keep a watch on this.

It's usually not the Frenchmen with the armpit problem.

Thanks for the heads up leyorke - I've just put it on the Start page of the guide.

This should be fun. Fortunately, they can't burn the tyres because they're metal but I'm sure there will be fun and games. However, there are going to be very upset Owners of Bars & Restaurants, the Mayor, ACO and not least the Police - a lot of vested interests who will DEMAND a solution.

I watch with interest

Oof we were planning on park and ride from the Uni, might have to rethink and just get car parking.

Indeed, the women are worse.
