A threat to integrity hardly arises from a nothing claim about a car that no one will pay any attention to even if you lose. OK, a claim such as this one would be a hassle and a pain, but it's not worth losing sleep over.

As a barrister don't you think you have a somewhat more informed view than a member of the public, which would help you rest easy knowing that the case is rubbish?

I can safely say, even if I was 100% in the right and had evidence to prove that, being taken to court would be a stressful and worrying experience.

I agree that it is stressful, and I always point out to my clients that litigation is unpleasant, but you have to put things in perspective, especially if the dispute is just about a car or some such thing.

To be honest, it is what it is- a pain in the arse.

However, it's done now, it was rubbish anyway, and I shan't waste another minute thinking about it.

A couple of years ago it would probably have really rattled me, granted, but compared with some other stuff that's happened its of relatively little significance.

Thanks to the help of several people on here I was reassured that I was in the right, and received a considerable amount of help putting that across- so thank you, again smile

Good result! Well done.

To re-emphasise, even in this crazy internet world of PH there are usually people on hand who know what they are talking about. The secret of success is to be able to tell the difference between the genuinely knowledgeable and the unfortunate internet clowns.

Appreciate what you are saying but still, no court experience is ever truly stress-free even if the outcome is less than ideal but not life affecting. For the fortunate few that can accurately predict the outcome, and as professional in the trade so to speak then I expect you would be able to do so, then I can see it being a run-of-the-mill exercise with no real concerns. If you were in my profession, some of the daily happenings that I shrug off would no doubt cause you concern.
