Shin up, smash the fker off and give us some internal pictures.

Otherwise accept this is part of monitoring your life by the powers that be.

ACCEPT!
Don't be an idiot.....don't just smash it off - simply undo the jubilee clamps, then snip off the lock which looks like it came out of an xmas cracker and have a gander. Then report back with pics for the rest of us to gawp at!!!! As others have said - it's a Pelicase, which you can flog on fleabay afterwards....job jobbed (actually don't!!! criminal damage, theft and reset may not go down too well with your neighbours if they see you do it).

Report it to the police as a unidentified and unsupervised object. They should then send the bomb squad round to investigate and take it apart. Youwould then find out what it was, be in the local paper for being the hero for reporting an unexploded bomb and have something to do on sunday. biggrin

7 years ago it might have been tumbleweed, but I'm guessing the plastic has biodegraded by now and become dust....

Probably. That is a radar traffic counter. It just measures the speed, size and number of vehicles passing in both directions. Without a camera around there is no way to identify specific vehicles. Very similar to ATCs (the black tubes across the road). Often used for traffic surveys for planning applications. Sometimes used by angry residents with lots of money to complain to the council about road speeds.

I'm sorry, but I've just got to ask.

As you obviously know exactly what they are, does this mean they are made by Tupperware? wink

laughlaugh Yeah absolutely. But only because the trial with Pyrex didn't go so well. And the cost of Le Creuset! Shocking.

For a laugh you could make up a sticker identifying it as a 5G Covid Control Unit, Capacity: 1000 people and stick it on the front.
