I'm still laughing at the " internet hardman " thing. Everyone knows I was hospitalising people with the power of thought alone long before the 'net had been conceived! Tuff with two effs me man, and don't you forget it. furious

Fine.

Maybe one day you'll learn from your actions.
Unless you can say, hand on heart, that your speed as never crept over the number on the sign more than 4 times in the last 3 years then you can't really preach about other peoples actions.

If you have broken the speed limit (even by 1mph, it is after all an absolute offence), then the only difference between you and the OP is that the OP got caught.

Not quite sure why eveveryone keeps feeding the funkytt, he feeds on it.

OP, 6 months for deffo I suspect, I was in an almost identical situation and nearly finished the ban. One of my lads phoned AGT about 10 minutes ago and got brilliant advice.....best of luck.

Another poor soul that the system has 'done over'.

Thanks for appearing on here and doing what you tell others not to.

No, he got caught 4 times and didn't modify his behaviour. There a difference.

What PH needs is an 'ignore' button to allow us to hide posts from certain users.

I refuse to believe that the one person posting nothing but st stirring drivel on this thread is anything but a troll.

OP, I can't help other than to echo those mentioning AGTLaw if you decide to take legal advice.

I managed to get to 9 points once (3 x 3pt speeding tickets) but was was very lucky that the first 6 points came off within a month of the last 3 points being added so not too long walking the tightrope.

Good luck.

Could be five times if he's done a speed course too.

Never drive over the limit yourself? Ever? You're either going to lie, or you're a hypocrite. If you have no empathy with an op, or nothing of value to add, you have no reason to post. Other than to confirm to people what they clearly already think about you.

Regardless of your view of the OPs situation, that's total crap. My speed has crept over the limit more than 4 times today, let alone the last 3 years. But I'm on zero points. If I were on 6 or 9 points, it wouldn't have.

All im after is cases of PH'ers who have been in my situation and what bans they recieved.....not making excuses, not denying anything and fully admitting Ive been a tt....as I explained in my first post. So please just genuine advice.
Not really sure if a soicitor is the way to go..Im ex Police so used to court and explain mitigation through well enough, dont want to bother solicitors on here just yet, im sure they are busy enough already smile

9 points here and was due to get another 3 (sp30).

My mitigating circumstance to avoid 3 points and thus a ban was that my Mother, now deceased, lived 3 hours away and was gravely ill. I visited 3 days a week after work and simply needed my licence as without it, the journey would not be possible. She passed away 3 months after my court date so i was eternally grateful to the Magistrates and wrote them a "Thank you" letter accordingly.

I was given no points, slowed down and had a 14 day ban and a big fine.

Make sure your case is honest and truthful. I saw them dismiss 10+ people in front of me as the "had to drive to see girlfriend" or "loves to drive" is a "new driver and inexperienced"...

Points free for 10 years now!!
You see, this is the advice and information I was after genuine cases similar to mine. My concern is my fathers condition that is worsening by the day and the effect me not having a licence will have on my brother and step mum who will have to shoulder more burden. To the other posters who have added advice, thanks its much appreciated. I have messaged AGTlaw and received some useful info back. As for you know who, its nice to know everyone else thought the same as me biggrin

Nah, we're just fed up with idiots ruining the roads for everyone else.

Get caught speeding. Kerching! More coffers for the partnerships and more stats for them to use to get even more speed limits lowered.
If you think that's the way it works then you're incredibly naïve.

There's more than enough drivers on the road to keep the machine running, even if each driver only ever gets caught once.
Who funds the partnerships then?

Are you telling me that not a single penny that goes to the treasury ends up back in some form of speed enforcement?

Irrespective of the money side, the partnerships love the speeding stats. My local one soon published some stats for a set of average speed cameras turned on late last year.

I never said anything about how it's funded.

I was countering your assertion about 'idiots' who spoil things for everyone else.

The fact is, if you ever get caught even once in your life then you have to number yourself among the 'idiots' which you're railing against.

BTW it seems that a whole lot of posts have simply disappeared from this thread.

I expect some overly sensitive soul has complained that their feelings have been hurt.
One of my posts has disappeared and it wasn't offensive or insulting anybody.

Brilliant. So funny.

Oh well, at least I will be able to act smug behind the wheel of my car whilst the OP is catching the bus.

Edit to add - if it was me that complained about the removed posts, why is the one from Roofer above calling me a tt still on here?
