Traveling on the A46 dual carriageway today i spotted a marked Police Volvo on the side of the road, he had a white hair dryer pointed at me from inside in his car. I was traveling a ‘little' over the speed limit but it was too late to slow down.

I did not get pulled and he did not move his car, does the equipment the Police use now eliminate the requirement to pull drivers over?

Considering he was drying his hair I'm not sure why you're worried about excess speed!?

As far as I understand (i.e. other dark corners of the internet), you can get a NIP through the post. Whether you will or not is another question - it's a copper behind the gun, not a machine. So keep a close eye on your post and the 14 days rule.

Is a 'little' +10 mph or +50?

They are not designed to work through glass, so for a reading be valid it has to be in free air.

Normally road side speed traps like this would require him to follow and stop you. If this was +10mph on a motorway, I doubt you have anything to worry about..

This - radar guns without camera/video attachments require the officer to stop the vehicle (as long as it is safe to do so).
