Hasselblad for Berlin?
Discussion
hi. I'm shortly travelling to Berlin for the first time and am considering taking my Hassy. i have visions of dystopian vistas and brutalist monalith structures and feel like i want to be part of a grainy, 1960's art film. on the other hand, its bloody heavy, awkward to load film on foot and challenging without a tripod. my other options are my well used but still perfectly functioning Canon EOS50D or my iPhone 6 with Hipstamatic app. as I've never been before, I'd welcome your thoughts on whether I'll get real value out of taking the bigger lumps, whether i will be safe openly carrying them and whether the images i get from my phone will be 'good enough',
Cheers,
Stu.

Sounds like the Hasselblad might be too much for a city shoot, as you'll be spending most of your time walking around the place. If you're after the 60's B&W grainy look, then I'd take the Canon and do some post-processing to achieve the look you want.
As mentioned above, if you still have a 35mm SLR then use this with some Kodak TRI-X400. A bit of gratuitous gear name-dropping here, but I did Berlin a few years ago with my Leica and a bunch of TRI-X400...

If you still have a 35mm SLR camera, why not take it and one lens (35mm was my favorite) and a few rolls of HP5
Can you still get HP5?
