F10 M5 Bang & Olufsen Speaker Illumination

Has anyone got the B&O option on their F10?

I've just got a replacement M5 with this option and have read online that the central rising speaker and tweeters all light up. They do light up, but the car has to be in total darkness in a garage for it to be seen. Lots about it online, but not on UK forums. BMW USA have released a fix for this, but my local BMW want to charge me to rectify the issue (I think it should be a warranty fix).

Anyone had this with a successful resolution?

I can see the led's under the door speakers just fine during the day - rising tweeter not so. Not sure if there was any model yr change to the functionality....

I believe that the LCI model had it rectified in production.
