Lenovo laptop keyboard mostly not working...
Discussion
...well the top row F keys work so that suggests to me it may not be hardware?
Does anyone know a 'gotcha' on these (Lenovo S21E-20 ) - have tried the F keys and Fn keys as I know you can switch the track pad off and one does have a keyboard symbol but still no keyboard response. Daughter gets into it using the onscreen keyboard currently. Thx if anyone has any tips.

Could be but unlikely. Was thinking of replacing it with this for her if I end up with zero progress tonight http://www.currys.co.uk/gbuk/computing/laptops/lap...
I am sure the Yoga will be lovely, but a £15.99 punt...

I had another go using the on screen keyboard (as it gave errors on an external kybd too) and its a registry issue "Windows cannot start this hardware device because its configuration information (in the registry) is incomplete or damaged. (Code 19)". That brings up a lot on Google (sadly) but none of the registry fixes worked and my patience is now expired!
Thanks anyway chaps

The processor in that Yoga doesn't benchmark as high as the quad core duo in my old desktop computer, which is 8 years old.
I know it uses a tenth of the energy and doesnt require a huge heat sink that probably weighs half as much as a whole Yoga, but still!
My nephew still uses that PC for games and it still works well with a good graphics card, so don't let my comment put you off. The Yoga will be fine for general browsing etc. I was just disappointed the performance wasn't better.

I think Yoga would be fine for homework and Netflix! Pretty tempted by this below - beefy for the £££ - especially as worried about Lenovo build quality - mouse pad gave up after 14 months so its long been on an external mouse...

HP Pavillions are hardly the last word in well built laptops, it's their budget line.https://www.zavvi.com/computing/computers/hp-15-au... Whatever we get has to be SSD/M2 and not HDD.
