Possibly the most disingenuous statement on earth. I do hope used tongue in cheek as the alternative is too depressing to think about.
Why?

What have you done?

The Brighton CCTV cameras were titled spy cameras by the local press and the then MP for the area. When it was pointed out that the locations for the cameras were in the council's literature for visitors and lampposts in the areas covered by each camera had posters attached informing everyone that they were on CCTV, the local paper relented but the radio and TV did not. The MP wavered between spy and police cameras depending on, well, whatever.

Drones can be very cost effective in certain cases. With helicopter coverage being reduced searches of things like fields can be labour intensive. A drone with infra red can find a lost person at night and perhaps save a life.

Nothing to hide, nothing to fear... until those in power decide that you do have something to hide.

'by the Police'.

You mean by another countries police force.

It's not spying it's law enforcement.

So what? If you drive within the speed limits, don't act like a prat & have chosen legal employment then take some comfort that these types run a higher risk of being caught.

can you fire a tracking device onto a stolen vehicle just before it notices it’s being chased/followed, then let the drone follow it/ track it until device is either removed or they get busted, sounds like a marvellous idea
Should be implemented ASAP
