Well, you've gotta admire the optimism in hoping just for points and a fine for 124 in a 50... in SCOTLAND...nop the magistrate wishes for my personal apperrance feck

Have they actually said what you're being charged with? I'm surprised if it's just speeding - must be your lucky day... If they haven't, then expect a Dangerous charge.
Four months inside for 149 in a 60 in Scotland.

"Entrapment." lol.
Grow up.
Thats not as daft as it sounds, South Wales Police used to have an unmarked Focus ST that used to regularly goad people into "races" before turning on the blues and two's. I had a heads up about him early on but he tried it 3 or 4 times with me when I had my MK2 RS. My friend in an R32 took the bait hook line and sinker, blues and twos came on at 100mph on the M4.Grow up.
Original example was a bit extreme I must admit though

Nice but I would tuck that away for a couple of years if I were you, or sell it to fund some proper legal advice.
One would imagine that if he did truly regret it (not sure from the wording of replies) then selling the motorbike would be a physical representation of that regret which may help requesting leniency.TooMany2cvs said:

They've just put 20mph limits right the way through the city centre, and I have heard that they are going to implement average speed cameras ... inside the city, in the 20mph zones ...
The first is already live.http://www.edinburghnews.scotsman.com/our-region/e...
Where are the vandals when you need them?

Oh and that road has had one fatality. Which was a stolen car.
Obviously average speed cameras would have prevented this.
Old Dalkeith Rd is a 30mph limit not 20mph and obviously leads up to the Royal Infirmary. An average speed camera set-up still seems over the top though.Obviously average speed cameras would have prevented this.
Equally the 50mph section of the A1 where this clown was caught only lasts about two miles before going up to 70mph (if you are heading South obviously). Could he not have waited? 124 mph in a 70mph limit doesn't SEEM quite so bad!
